A stainless steel vibro sifter is a circular vibrating screen that separates powders and granules by particle size using a mesh deck and a vibration motor. Material smaller than the selected aperture passes through the screen; oversize material leaves through a separate outlet.
This 41-second video shows granular material being fed onto a vibro sifter, a close view of the mesh and several machine constructions.

How a Stainless Steel Vibro Sifter Works
A vertical vibration motor with upper and lower eccentric weights generates motion across the circular screen. Material spreads over the mesh, giving particles an opportunity to pass through the apertures.
Fines pass to the lower deck or outlet, while oversize particles remain above the mesh and move toward a separate discharge. Additional decks can produce more size fractions in one pass.
The screen vibrates; it is not a rotating drum. The machine diameter, aperture, feed rate and material behaviour need to work together for the intended separation.
Follow the Material Through the Machine
Feed onto the Screen
Introduce material at a controlled rate. A consistent feed helps use the available screening area.
Separate at the Mesh
Particles smaller than the aperture pass through. Near-size particles, moisture and cohesive powder can make separation more demanding.
Collect the Fractions
Fines and oversize material leave through their respective outlets. Select the deck arrangement for the number of fractions required.
Machine Details to Check
Match the screening assembly and the feeding arrangement to your process.

Screen, Clamps and Support Springs
The inlet, mesh, discharge outlets, clamps and springs form the screening assembly. Confirm the aperture, seals, access for cleaning and contact material before choosing a configuration.

Enclosed Feeding and Screening
A vacuum feeder can transfer powder into the vibro sifter through an enclosed connection. Inlet size, installation height and downstream collection need to match the production line.

Applications
Food Powders and Granules
Flour, sugar, starch, spices and milk powder may need oversize removal, de-lumping or grading. Confirm contact surfaces, seals and cleaning requirements.
Pharmaceutical Materials
Raw materials, excipients and granules can require particle control and impurity removal. Specify your process, cleaning procedure and documentation requirements.
Chemical Powders and Other Materials
Pigments, resins, additives and similar materials may need classification or contamination removal. Assess corrosion, moisture, flowability and any special site requirements.
Suitable liquids and slurries can also be filtered with an appropriate configuration. Sticky, viscous or difficult powders need a material-specific assessment; an ultrasonic option may help with some fine-powder blinding problems, but it is selected for the actual screening duty.
Related Project: Vacuum Feeding and Food-Powder Screening
We supplied a food powder processing system combining a vacuum powder feeder and a stainless steel vibro sifter.
The vacuum feeder transfers powder directly into the sifter, reducing manual handling and dust exposure. The sifter removes oversized particles and impurities before the screened powder is collected.
The system achieved a reported processing capacity of 2 t/h for the customer’s material. Actual capacity depends on powder characteristics, mesh size, and screening requirements.

Stainless Steel Vibro Sifter FAQs
What materials can a stainless steel vibro sifter handle?
It can screen suitable powders and granules, including flour, sugar, starch, chemical powders and pharmaceutical materials. Appropriate configurations can also filter some liquids and slurries. Selection depends on the aperture, moisture, viscosity, bulk density and required separation; send your material details for review.
How do I choose the mesh size?
Start with the particle-size limit and the fractions you need to collect. Specify the aperture in micrometres or millimetres where possible, because mesh count alone also depends on wire diameter. Material trials may be useful for cohesive powders, fine cuts or a high proportion of near-size particles.
Is the screen in the video a rotating drum?
No. A vibro sifter uses a vibration motor to move a circular mesh deck. Material travels across the vibrating screen; smaller particles pass through and oversize material leaves through another outlet. A rotary drum screen has a different construction and movement.
Is stainless steel required for every application?
The material should match the product and cleaning conditions. Stainless steel is often selected where corrosion resistance and cleaning access matter. The video also shows carbon steel and plastic versions. Confirm the contact grade, seals and any food or pharmaceutical requirements for your particular process.
Does the video show the capacity of a specific model?
The video is a short demonstration of screening and machine construction. It does not provide a model nameplate, aperture, timed feed measurement or verified throughput result. Use the published model information as a starting point, then confirm capacity for your material and required cut size.
How can I get a quote, delivery time and warranty details?
Send the material name, target particle size, required capacity, voltage, quantity and destination to sales@sanyuantang.com or WhatsApp +86 166 3840 8032. Delivery and warranty terms depend on the selected machine and order, and are confirmed with the quotation.
